Just wanted everyone to know that I have one final left for the semester!!! Halleluiah! This semester has been a rough one... and I'm so excited that it's almost time for a new one! Bring it on spring and summer semesters, I am that much closer to finishing my degree!

King of the Week!

Spencer's birthday was SO much fun! He always told me that birthday's were never a huge deal growing up and that they had a family dinner and party and that usually was the most they were celebrated. He loved the way his family did birthdays and was not expecting anything from me other than spending time together. So naturally, I went all out and instead of celebrating his birthday for one day, we celebrated it for one week! :) I love my husband!!!

Spencer had to take a midterm on his birthday and was busy studying all day long. Because of the test, he was not able to come home that day until around 9:30 or 10:00, so I secretly left this little note along with a King's crown in the car so when he was coming out of the testing center after his test, he would find this:

He had no idea that I was planning this so he was so excited when he came home and it was so cute to see him with his crown on. :)

Since it was so late and it was a weekday, the first night I just made him his favorite meal and we had dinner together and opened presents. When we got our TV, Spencer was dying to have a "fire video" so that we could have a "fireplace" in our house. Somehow for Christmas, I found one for a dollar at Target and wrapped it up and put it in his stocking. I think it is absolutely hilarious, but he loves it! Because of the special occasion, I decided to put the DVD in to set the mood for our romantic dinner. ;)

We had been out of light bulbs for about 2 weeks! It was so bad that we had been moving the light bulbs from room to room when we needed a little more light because we didn't have enough. Such is life of busy college students :) This was the one thing that he told his buddies he hoped he received for his birthday... I love that he finds so much happiness in the simple things in life :)

This was the best reaction of the night. Two years ago he bought a pair of shoes from Ross that he wears almost everyday... they go with every outfit! But they are so worn out and he definitely needed a new pair of shoes. He really wanted another pair of the same shoes, but didn't know if Ross still had them. So I just slipped over to Ross one night and fancy that, I found me another pair of the same shoes in the perfect size! I love when I have so much luck shopping!

Throughout the week I wrote small poems and put them throughout the house to let him know what birthday celebration we were going to do that day. The activities included bowling, going out to dinner, making him yummy cookies, and neither of us can remember the rest right now because it has been so long, but nevertheless, it was a blast. I'm so glad I was able to spoil my babe a little bit for his 25th. :) I think I'm going to keep it as a tradition... spoiling him I mean..he deserves it. :)

Here We Go

Alrighty, it's catch up time in the Hill household! Here we go people:

A few months ago we were able to go to an awesome BYU volleyball game with Spencer's family. We were lucky enough to have his brother Brian and his wife Nicole come with us along with Spencer's parents. We were also able to spend the evening with this handsome man. I love our nieces and nephews!

The game was so awesome! We ended up winning against Stanford who was actually ranked higher than we were. Each match was so close and I'm so glad that we were able to have family there to enjoy the game with us.

I Just Can't Hide This Feeling Anymore......

I don't have much to say right now because I have lots of posting that needs to be done with some of my pictures and I don't want to give any of it away! But I will say this... I am in love with this necklace right now! I want one that says "spencer" on it, in lower case letters, just like that. But maybe one day Spencer and I will learn how to make them ourselves because people, there is just no way that it takes $42 to make that. Recap...

This is a recap of the last few months here in Provo. I lost my camera cord in Texas, so I haven't been able to upload pictures to my computer for quite some time until we went home for Christmas! You see, my sister Rebekah has almost the same camera as me and has the exact same camera cord that I need to upload pictures... so being the fabulous sister that she is...she let me borrow it for a little bit to upload a few pics. Thanks Rebekah!

We ran out of chocolate chips at our house about a month ago, so I took a trip to Costco to grab another bag of Nestle chocolate chips. And then I found this. :) It was all over. I figured that I might as well buy the bigger bag since I knew I would use them all, at least by the time we move, and it would cost me a little bit less overall! Hello...ten pounds of chocolate chips is totally worth it. ;)

My Mom told me when I was younger that if I cooked my own food it would taste so much better than having someone else make it for me. I totally believed her when I was younger, but now that I make most of the meals in our house I have found that anything anyone is willing to make for me is absolutely delicious because I didn't have to do a single thing but eat it! After looking back, I think that was her desperate plea to get me to want to cook or something for her so she could enjoy dinner that much more. ;)

Usually we buy our pizza at Little Ceasars, but to be honest I really don't like their pizza at all even though it is pretty cheap. So I decided to hunker down and make my own! I've never made pizza before so I was kind of nervous but it was actually SOOOOO yummy! It might look disgusting and greasy and stuff (and the flash on the camera really didn't help that) but it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. We didn't have much to throw on it but underneath the cheese is red onions and green peppers...mmm. All I have to say is that Mom was right... well at least in this case. :)

I had an assignment for my theatre class at the beginning of the semester to attend the Storytelling Festival held in the Scera in Orem, Utah. I had never been to a Storytelling Festival before and actually didn't even know that it was such a huge deal until I showed up at the Scera and the place was PACKED!!! I mean it was totally sold out and we had to sit outside of the fence so I could hear for a little bit. I was kind of bummed that I couldn't see anything, but I decided that it would have to do. Someone saw us sitting outside the fence and gave us an extra ticket... so now we had one ticket...but that wasn't enough for the two of us obviously. But we thought we'd try anyways. So we asked the lady at the entrance to let us get in with just one ticket, and she actually let us! It was so cool! What potentially was going to be a $14 date became absolutely free! I love it when that happens. :) The festival was SO cool and I would highly recommend it, especially if you have little kids. It was super entertaining.

The next day we went fishing! Our awesome Grandparents took us out on their boat for the evening and Spencer's parents were able to come to. It was so much fun! I had never been fishing before so we decided not to get me a license quite yet and I would just go out and enjoy the ride. It was totally worth it and I would for sure go again.

Spencer caught two rainbow trout right in a row and couldn't believe what was happening! Seriously, I am not exaggerating he threw his line back in the water after catching the first fish and two seconds later felt a pull on the line! You would think that someone in that situation would make an excited/shocked face...but instead this is the face he made. haha I love him :) This is his favorite pic from the trip.

We got an awesome deal on a TV in September but had to wait a few weeks to get it. Our friend Brad helped us pick it up from the store and even stayed to help set it up. Thanks Brad!

We wanted to go pick up the scooter from the house in Lindon so we could ride it to the football game one Saturday. The traffic was pretty bad and it's a good 15 minute drive, so I wanted him to wear this beautiful helmet. :) It was pretty much hilarious seeing him ride around with that tiny helmet on so I had to snap a few pics. This man makes me laugh every single day and I love it! Life is so much better that way. :)

Why Didn't Anyone Tell Me??

So when you find the right person, get engaged and finally get married to the man of your dreams all you think about is spending forever with him! You think about everything that you'll do together, what you will share, where you will go, where you will live..........together. But no one ever sheds any light on the fact that for some reason you will be physically apart for a few days, weeks, for whatever your situation is. Well let me tell you about it.

It is LAME!!!

I don't like it one bit! Granted, I was the first one to take a little trip with my sister's and lovely Mother for the weekend at the beginning of the month and leave Spencer all by his lonesome in our apartment, but now he keeps leaving me!! Either way, it's sad. For some reason life for me has worked out like this.....

I was single for the majority of my first 20 years in life and was very good at being independent. I loved doing things myself and being in charge of me. I was never bothered that I did not have a special someone to share my life with until around Christmas time 2008. Only a few weeks after these strange feelings started who did I meet but the one and only Spencer Hill and the rest is history. Now after being married for four months, I seemed to have forgotten what it was like to be quite independent and having to rely on only myself when things need to be accomplished. When Spencer leaves its like I don't function right...

I DON'T REMEMBER HOW TO LIVE BY MYSELF!

This was a strange realization that I had a few days ago and it makes me just that much happier when Spencer gets to come home. :) But this time I get to travel and meet him in Arizona for Thanksgiving! I am so excited to get a few days off and spend it all with my hubby and family.

Although Spence has been gone a lot this week, I am so proud of him for working so hard all these years to practice awesome studying habits and maintaining amazing grades so that he could fulfill his dreams of being a dentist. We have been so blessed to have been invited for some interviews and now its just the waiting game. And luckily when he does become a dentist... he probably won't have to travel very much! ;)
